Free options
- Environmental and elemental racial variants (as setting appropriate, with GM permission)
- Environmental class variants (as setting appropriate, with GM permissions)
Additional Options
- Bloodlines as alternative for ECL classes (as setting appropriate, with GM permissions)
- If entire group allows, we could play armor so it provide DR or vitality based HP. I'm not sure how I like the second one, as it modifies how healing spells work.
Traits
Traits are available in the Legacy of Fire player handbook (already provided), an additional free supplement provided by Paizo (email me for this PDF) and unearthed arcana. All characters receive two traits for free. You can use feats to get additional traits. Note however, there are restrictions, as you can only select one trait in each category of traits. Also note that some traits grant additional skills.
Flaws
You make take a flaw and earn a bonus feat. You may do this up to two times. You make take flaws from unearthed arcana which carry very real pentalties, however they do not give me additional material from which I can personalize the campaign. So, additionally, you may create your own flaws (which are naturally subject to the GM approval. A good flaw should create a real penalty in certain situations. How severe the flaw should depend on how common the occurance. My test will be whether or not the flaw provides me with a usable hook into your character. (One player suggested this is like an NPC homoculus hitching a ride on your character.)
New Feats
SKILL KNOWLEDGE [GENERAL]
You gain access to new knowledge and abilities.
Benefit: Receive two additional skill points per level (retroactive)
EXTRA TRAITS [GENERAL]
You gain access to traits.
Benefit: Choose two additional traits.
