Part 3 (4/5/2008)

In the wake of the destruction of the Tear of Tloc, the party did not find itself immediately drowning. Hoping the destruction would enable them to assail the ziggarat, they headed toward it. But on this new route, they encountered some kind of watery constructs left behind by the Aboleth (2 Shaboleth). Dispatching the creatures attracted the attention of a Kopru scouting party. Luckily everyone escaped domination.

Several Kopru Behemoths were left guarding the top of the ziggarat, however the party was able to dispatch them. The tower itself proved difficult to enter, as no door was immediately apparent. However, after some searching the group found the pressure points with which to trigger the open reflex. Yes, the ziggarat was indeed alive. Once inside, they came upon a Kopru priest of Demogorgon and fought him underwater! Finally, they fought a miniature Elder Evil, or at least an Aberration with the ability to turn bilestone (the secretion of Elder Evils) into a liquid (Black Bile of the World). This process seems to be key to the creation of the Shadow Pearls.

The party then returned to Farshore. Now three months after the arrival of Lavinia to Farshore, the party is now seeing the benefit of improvements. The wealth of Farshore has increased due to increased trade. Farshore begins with an 800 gp limit on purchased items and assets of 9,600 gp.

  • The triumph over the Crimson Fleet increases the assets by 20,000 gp
  • Casting Hallow on the Cemetary make people feel better, and increases the gp limit by 1,000
  • By eliminating the troglodyte tribe, assets are increased by 5,000, and by the end of the month, the gp limit increases by 1,000
  • Improving the smithy increases the assets by 2,000 gp
  • By improving the greenhouse, the gp limit is increased by 1,000
  • By improving the beer, the gp limit increased by 500gp
  • Lavinia set the Jade Ravens to retrieve Olman artifacts which increased the gm limit by 1000

Thus, the assets are 36,600 gp and Farshore has a 5,300 gp limit on purchasable items. I have assume that these were not improved: the mine, the clayworks, and the farms. Also, I presume that the trade mission to Sasserine was sent out after the pirate fleet. It has not yet returned.
